“Miss Anwesha Deb, daughter of Shri Goutam Deb, CGM TTPP won her second international medal this year in Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship- “APJ Tour Continental Pro Gi” on 2nd October 2022. She won the Bronze in staged 49 kg Blue Belt Category. This international event had participation from 51 countries. Earlier, in September this year, she had won Bronze at APJ Tour Pro Gi UAE Championship at Dubai. Miss Anwesha is the first female Indian competitor on the professional jiu jitsu circuit to achieve this fete.
NTPC Family is proud of her achievements. Promoting Indian Jiu-Jitsu at the world stage is absolutely commendable and her achievements will certainly inspire more women to take up such sports and bring glory to the country at International levels.
